  1. Aren't you just, "oooo"? Born 2015-11-26 at 1320 Eastern. 7 pounds, 11 ounces. 20 inches long. At first I was all but then I was like .
  2. As many of you know, the Planetside subreddit has been a complete and utter mess. I'm not going into details. The only thing I will say is that when both sides stand back and look at what's been done, both will have something to take away from it. Sorry for dredging this back up, but I feel some points should be made. 1. Pillar 3 should follow you wherever you go. Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, tells, etc. The internet offers anonymity and a stage for conflict. Keep yourself safe. Respect is the golden rule, and we as a community have displayed sportsmanship above and beyond what's expected. Let's continue that tradition. I'll readily admit, Reddit posts can turn into a toxic circlejerk faster than I can type. While that may be true, we aren't obligated in any way to join. And I think most or all of you already get that. Someday, we may be on the receiving end of some rather nasty comments, and I don't want to see history repeat itself. 2. Your Officers care. I dunno if it's been rather elaborated on, but your division leaders really care about you guys. If you receive a nasty tell (even from an outfit member) or find yourself in a similar situation to this week's moral fumbling, let your officers know. Also, make sure to contact Robo. They can and will help you in any way they can. It's what they're here for. It doesn't even have to be really nasty, maybe its a disagreement on who was at fault for this or that. Or maybe you think that the Serpent is awesome, and your squadmate disagrees. Lets try to keep small disagreements civil, and if things go south, you know who to contact. 3. Support one another. Maybe you have a lot on your plate and need to vent. Maybe you feel hurt or angry over getting steamrolled by a friendly Magrider for the umpteenth time. People here are willing to listen. You're with friends. Ask someone you can trust (I will gladly listen, all you need is to ask.) if you want to talk something out, and if they agree, awesome. If they don't, just thank them for considering. Sometimes, your emotions get the better of you. It's rather easy to get angry in a game like Planetside, where one death can lead to the collapse in a good point hold. I think we all understand that. What we can do, though, is say "Hey, that was a good hold, let's try to reproduce that next time" instead of a snarky "Thanks, playername." Nobody likes being called out on their failures, and doing so only harms those involved. So please, be courteous. A little humilty never hurt anybody. 4. Have fun out there. For the most part, a lot of us play games because we enjoy them. Others play because it's a platform to find new friends, much like I did here at GOTR. Let's enjoy games for the fun they bring, and the friendly competition that ensues, not for drama and bullying. GOTR has an awesome record, and the only thing we can do is improve on it. Grab your mouse and keyboard, and enjoy yourself. Don't let another person's issues with you or something else ruin your day. Life's a rollercoaster, but it's only up to you to decide to put your hands in the air and enjoy the ride. I'll leave you with the quote that spurned this on: Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. -Albus Dumbledore
  3. ... Unless i get a hold of a gaming pc over there :] Welp, I guess this is goodbye for a while, 18 weeks, 4 days of BCT and AIT and then deployment somewhere, doesn't leave much time for Planetside I guess, I'll see if I can't get a hold of some way of communicating with ya from time to time aside from the vacation days they "might" give me, other than that, don't expect to hear from me for a while as I'm sure I"ll be pretty busy. Been really great getting to play with GOTR since PS1, best outfit I've ever been in hands down, and I hope to see you guys again sometime, I know I wasn't much to the outfit, but I like to think I've at least saved Robo a few times :] I hope to come back and see (more like get in-game with) you all again, in the meantime, keep kicking ass GOTR (cause you're all outa bubblegum) Oh, and WV... Drugugablaghblah.
